80HD, a new company owned and founded by DH Pro Aaron Hodgkin, is making some pretty awesome aftermarket crowns for the Marzocchi 888 and Fox 40’s. Along with their new flat crowns they also have a 3pc DM stem to go along with them. I picked one up for our Marzocchi Evo 888ti to compare a few things. Long Term Review: ESP 13r BMX Stem
Over the last several months we have been testing the ESP 13r stem. This bike has seen duty at the track and a little at the local skate park and dirt jumps. The 13r has been hanging in there like a champ. But what makes this stem stick out from the pack are its clean lines, custom appearance and light weight. The ESP 13r is only 8.1 oz. Upon arrival I was greeted by Jose "Cuervo", in the early evening, he picked me up in his flat bed and we headed into town for some dinner. In January I had the opportunity to participate in the Chiguiro Extremo Urbano DH event through the streets of Manizales. Coming off an injury plagued 2011 season, I was excited to find myself in the mountains of Colombia healthy again.
